About Tim Frazier

Tim is a freelance journalist and creative writer living in Grapevine, Texas. He enjoys riding his Triumph Rocket III, woodworking, and making his Grandson, Jade, giggle.

He and his wonderful wife, Robin, have a menagerie of pets, including:
An American Pit Bull Terrier that eats, sleeps, poops and does nothing else
An American Mastiff, also known as a “Polish Rock-head” that drools incessantly
A geriatric black Austrailian Shepherd/ Chow-chow mix of questionable heritage
– Kolby left us 03/18/10 and we miss him. R.I.P. and have fun chasing squirrels in heaven, Cobalt Blue!
A narcissistic cat that matches the Pit Bull in daily accomplishments

A wolf-whistling cockatiel that never shuts up and has lived 23 years; and continues to do so, evidently out of spite

Previous careers include welder, survey crew chief, and police K9 officer. He currently works as an information technology director on top of blogging, contributing articles to Associated Content, and special assignments for magazines.

A native Texan, born in Fort Worth 40+ years ago, he has lived in various nearby cities, including Greenville, Mesquite, Garland, and Dallas. He has refused, on several occasions, to live anywhere outside the Great State of Texas.

  • Just a thought, but there are some $15bn or more being poured into a government-backed overhaul of hospital IT/IS. This is an industry that is almost too concerned with privacy and security, so data centers and support services are kept local. It sounds like an excellent opportunity, and a good way of getting some of your tax dollars back. Also, the skills associated with that side of the industry are recently becoming the most sought after skills in America, precisely because health care wants to keep everything at home, and because the government seems to be willing to reimburse them for extravagant expenses on the people they need to design and implement network infrastructure. Just a thought!
