Baldy' s Capture

Since July of 2010 I’ve been trying to capture the unwanted squatter that has been methodically destroying my front lawn.

Today just after lunch Robin called me to relay the good news: Baldy has been captured.

I’ve had zero donations despite my pre-capture offer to grant Baldy a pardon (see “Save Baldy”) and therefore I am spending the remainder of the afternoon working from home while I wait for the executioner to come collect the little possum on the half-shell.

I’m not sure how the animal control folks dispose of vermin these days, but it’s likely no worse than my original plan to shoot the little armored mischief maker in the head with a pellet gun.

I’m just glad to be rid of him…although he was a worthy adversary who avoided capture for more than a year.
